Press Release
December 5, 2023

Cardlink stands by businesses for the interconnection of their POS with cash registers having completed the submission of the declaration of compliance to IAPR

Cardlink, member of Worldline (Euronext:WLN), the European leader in payment services, being in constant cooperation with the Independent Authority for Public Revenue (IAPR), proceeds to align with the specifications of the new protocol in its POS in the market. The company, dedicated to its purpose, is at the side of businesses in the process of interfacing their terminals with cash systems, committed to providing them with the support they need in the ever-changing environment of electronic payments.

In this context, the company has updated the digital platform of IAPR with the latest data of the terminals available in the market and has completed the submission of the compliance declaration process, announcing the POS models that will be compliant with the specifications of the tax authority and are scheduled to be upgraded to support the interface with the cash systems of businesses. Businesses can find out in detail whether their terminal will be upgraded on the company’s website www.cardlink.gr.

The upgrade will be implemented gradually in the forthcoming period per terminal model. This upgrade is automatic and will be completed remotely, ensuring a safe and high-quality transition for businesses. Businesses that have old-technology POS models that do not support the interconnection have the option to declare to the POS Registry of the ADEA that they intend to replace them with new ones by 15/1/2024. Interested parties can take advantage of Cardlink’s special upgrade offer to be supplied in time with the latest Android POS technology that is compliant with IAPR’s guidelines.

Cardlink, as defined by the new protocol, will regularly inform IAPR of the upgrades to the POS of businesses and then IAPR will in turn inform merchants electronically that the upgrade process of their POS has been completed. Then, businesses should immediately (within 30 days) contact their cash register vendor to complete the interconnection.

To better and comprehensively support businesses, Cardlink has created a detailed guide with useful information on the new mandatory functionality. The guide is continuously updated based on ongoing updates and is available at the link. Cardlink’s expert team remains firmly on the side of businesses to guide them to successfully implement the new interconnection system.
