Frequently Asked Questions

Cardlink Invoice

The first Cardlink invoice is issued and sent within the first 15 days of the following month from the one when the initial activation of the services and products offered by Cardlink took place. Each subsequent invoice is issued in advance for the service period to follow, i.e. within the first ten days of the last month of each current invoicing period.  If you need it sooner for invoicing purposes, please send your request here .

  • If you have rented the Cardlink POS, the invoice you received refers to the amount for the upcoming rental period. For example, if it is issued on the 1st of March 2020, it refers to the period from April to September 2020.
  • If you have bought the Cardlink POS and this is the first invoice you receive, it refers to the cost for purchasing the device as well as the technical support fee for the first service period (usage plans are typically quarterly).
  • If you have bought the Cardlink POS and you have already paid the device purchase cost and the technical support fee for the first six months, the invoice you received refers the POS support fee for the upcoming rental period. E.g. if it is issued on the 1st of March 20210, it refers to the period from April to September 2020.

You can pay your invoice in your preferred bank (via cash or e-banking) based on the following board:

  • By credit, debit or prepaid card (Visa/Mastercard/American Express/Diners) via online payment at gr, by visiting the “Invoice payment” section, entering the payment code that can be found on side A of the invoice, and the payment amount.
  • At a bank branch, via Web Banking or Phone Banking, by providing the payment code that can be found on side A of the invoice and selecting: Payments > Cardlink
  • Via a standing order for debiting your Alpha bank or Eurobank account, so that your invoice can be paid automatically on the due date displayed, if sufficient balance is available. You can set up a standing order at any branch of the above banks.

All Cardlink’s invoices clearly state their due date and should be paid within the deadline.

To receive e-statements:

  • If you are an Alpha Bank customer, you can sign up to their e-statements platform
  • If you are a Eurobank customer, you can apply here.
  • If you are an Attica Bank customer, you can apply here or contact the Bank.
  • If you are a National Bank customer, you can call 181818 or 2109503600 to confirm transactions.
  • If you are a Piraeus Bank customer, you can call 182838

Cardlink POS has the ability to accept all types of cards, depending on the Bank you are working with.

Specifically, Cardlink POS accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners, Discover, and CUP.

A sticker for shop windows is included in Cardlink’s POS package.

Acquiring Cardlink POS

Acquiring a Cardlink POS is quite simple.
Browse through our POS page and select the solution that suits your business needs.

    • You can choose a wired POS solution if your company does not require a mobile POS to complete a transaction with your customers.
    • You can choose a wireless POS solution if moving the POS is required (for example restaurants, gas stations, courier, delivery, etc.).

Charging a wireless Cardlink POS

The duration of a wireless POS battery depends on its use.

For the wireless POS Verifone Vx675 GPRS:

  • 5 to 6 hours if the POS is active (conducting transactions)
  • More than 6 hours if the POS is inactive (not in use)

For the wireless POS Ingenico iWL220 GPRS:

  • 8 hours if the POS is active (conducting transactions)
  • More than 8 hours if the POS is inactive (not in use)
  • The duration of the first charge of your wireless POS should be at least 4 hours.
  • After the first charge, the POS should be charged for 1-2 hours. Check the battery indicator signal on your screen.
  • The battery indicator should not be less than 2 bars.
  • To ensure a good battery condition, the POS should be cycle-charged and should not be constantly connected to a power supply.

There is an indicator at the top right of the POS screen where you can check the battery levels.

The basic requirement to use a transaction cancellation is before closing a batch.

Cardlink POS Technical Support

After making your first transaction, POS will automatically contact the main transactions system and receive the appropriate time.

Alternatively, you can confirm that the POS has received the proper time by performing a Ηandshake/Synchronisation check.

VPOS (virtual POS) is a management tool and a channel for displaying and managing transactions of the Cardlink e-commerce service. Through the app, you can monitor and manage the transactions of your company and produce reports by using a great variety of search criteria.

Once informed by the bank regarding your partnership with it, you will receive an email with instructions on how to develop the necessary code to connect your website with the payments page of the bank. You will also receive code samples in php, jsp, asp. The code should be developed by your side.

e-Commerce Technical Support

Cardlink provides the ability to configure the payment page in your business environment, using i-Frame, so your customer feels that they do not leave your website. That way, your company avoids any contact with card data while providing an excellent experience to the payer.

One Click payment is a payment solution that enables your customers to make online purchases with just a click, while the necessary payment information for completing the purchase has already been entered by the user. Instead of entering the payment and delivery information manually, with One Click payment the customer can use a default address and card number for a purchase.

MasterPass by Mastercard is a digital wallet in which the customer can save card and delivery information in a safe environment and use it to complete purchases. Implementing MasterPass requires including the variable payMethod with value auto: MasterPass in the Request to the platform.

No action is required for the Cardlink e-Commerce since the platform does not perform any control on the domain level. Payments can continue to be carried out.

You should, however, inform the responsible section οf the partnered Bank for the SSL installation.

Cardlink apollo

Cardlink apollo is a new, free, real-time digital platform for monitoring transactions. It is offered by Cardlink to its customers in order to assist them in the daily management of their business by giving them access to:

  • Detailed information regarding their business’s transactions and Cardlink products.
  • Useful graphs and reports for the transactions
  • Efficient and prompt service

Cardlink apollo is a free service offered to all Cardlink customers, whether they have a brick-and-mortar or online store.

Through Cardlink apollo you have access to:

  • Immediate and detailed information regarding your business’s transactions, in real-time
  • Aggregate information about your transactions per Cardlink POS or per e-shop, store and bank
  • Useful graphs and detailed reports
  • Detailed information regarding your business’s collaboration with Cardlink
  • Immediate communication with the Cardlink support team
  • Monitoring the progress of your requests submitted to the Cardlink support team
  • Immediate access to FAQs regarding the use of POS and your transactions

Cardlink apollo is provided free of charge.

The process to register your business with Cardlink apollo is very easy and is performed by the company’s legal representative.

Visit apollo.cardlink.gr and follow the 5 simple steps to complete the registration.

Before you start, you will need to have the following information at hand:

  • Your company’s VAT no.
  • MID(s) – this is your business’s store code; it consists of 10 digits and is displayed on the POS sticker
  • A photo of your company’s stamp
  • Email addresses of the employees/associates of your business that you want to have access to Cardlink apollo

All transactions performed through the Cardlink POS that your business possesses, as well as the ones carried out on your online store that is supported by the Cardlink e-Commerce, are displayed on Cardlink apollo.

You can see important information about your transactions, such as:

  • date and time the transaction was realised
  • type of transaction (e.g. purchase, refund, etc.)
  • card type (e.g. Visa, Mastercard, etc.)
  • transaction amount
  • redemption amount
  • number of instalments
  • transaction status (approval, rejection)  

From the moment you gain access to the application, all your business transactions that have taken place in the last year will be displayed in detail, as well as aggregate information for up to two years in the past, so that you are able to compare past periods in the graphs available.

Yes, you can connect one or more stores and VAT numbers to your account. For up to 5 stores and 1 VAT number you self-register at apollo.cardlink.gr/register
