Cardlink was a proud sponsor of the Piraeus Street Long Jump for the second consecutive year

Cardlink, a member of Worldline (Euronext:WLN), a global leader in payment services, supported for the second consecutive time the Piraeus Street Long Jump, an initiative of the Municipality of Piraeus in cooperation with the Hellenic Athletics Federation (SEGAS). The event, which took place on Sunday 23 June 2024, in front of the iconic Piraeus Municipal Theatre, gathered hundreds of people and managed once again to create a unique sports experience for both athletes and the public.

As a part of the World Athletics Continental Tour series, in the Silver category, the 2nd Piraeus Street Long Jump hosted both the men’s and women’s long jump. Since its very first year, it has been recognized for its innovation, as the first non-stadium long jump race in Greece, bringing sports in direct contact with thousands of citizens.

Top athletes from the country and abroad are set to participate in the event, including the Olympic Gold Medalist and three-time European Champion in Open Athletics, Miltos Tentoglou, and the Paralympic track and field athlete and World Champion, Stylianos Malakopoulos.

Miltos Tendoglou managed to secure the first place, even from the first attempt, with a jump of 8.08m, while Alina Rotaru Kottman achieved the third best performance in the world with a jump of 6.94m.
