More than 10,000,000 transactions processed

in the network of Cardlink for the month of June  

Increase of 145% versus June 2015

Cardlink announces that in the month of June, its network of terminals processed more than 10,000,000 successful transactions. This is the first time this number is achieved and corresponds to more than €700 million of sales volume which is also a new record for the Cardlink network.

Antigonos Papadopoulos, Commercial Director at Cardlink stated: «June 2015 was the last month before the introduction of capital controls which acted as the trigger for the explosion of electronic transactions in Greece. Almost 25% of the 10 million transactions in June 2016 occured in more than 45,000 new Cardlink terminals that were installed in the last 12 months. Of  interest is also the fact that the transactions were performed by 3.3 million unique card numbers versus 1.6 million unique card numbers in June 2015. This illustrates the significant increase in card activation and usage.»

Cardlink terminals are addressed at banks, merchants and self employed professionals and are the most flexible tool for card payment transactions. Cardlink terminals accept all cards from all banks and offer businesses and professionals the opportunity to manage all their acquiring relationships from a single terminal. They are available in desktop and mobile versions as well as mPOS versions for transactions using smarphones and/or tablets, thus covering the complete spectrum of business requirements.
