Note to Editors: Cardlink sponsors the 1st Piraeus Street Long Jump
Cardlink, member of Worldline (Euronext:WLN), the European leader in payment services, sponsored the 1st Piraeus Street Long Jump, an initiative of the Municipality of Piraeus, which took place on Sunday, June 4th in front of the iconic Piraeus Municipal Theatre, bringing together athletes and the public in a unique sports event.
The 1st Piraeus Street Long Jump, which was implemented in the framework of the World Athletics Continental Tour, in the Silver category, hosted both the men and women’s long jump and was the first non-stadium long jump race in Greece.
The bleachers set up for the unique event were packed and the atmosphere from fans and athletes was festive. The competition was attended by top athletes from Greece and abroad, including the Olympic Gold Medalist, Miltos Tentoglou, who once again impressed with his performance, achieving a jump of 8.24m.
