The forum brought together once more top executives of the banking sector from Greece and abroad to discuss the future of digital banking and the transformative power of emerging payment technologies.

The CEO of Cardlink also actively participated in Panel I titled “Payments are changing in Greece, the view of old and new players” where, when asked about how the payments landscape in Greece has changed in the last two years, he highlighted the shift in consumer behaviour towards the adoption of digital tools. As he stated “It is now the consumer’s choice to use digital payments, even for transactions of low value even of less than 2 euros”. Antigonus Papadopoulos also referred to the change in the behaviour of businesses, “which are now looking for digital tools that will allow them not only to manage payments easily and quickly, but will also enable them to improve their customers’ in-store and out-of-store experience”.
