To connect Cardlink POS with cash register systems that have an ERP management program installed, you should first select the form of connection according to the type of POS the business possesses.
Cardlink has different types of POS. Based on their software and ability to connect with ERP management programs in accordance with IAPR decisions, they fall into the following categories.
The categories are:
- Android POS (includes PAX terminals e.g. A920, A920Pro, A80).
- Verifone POS (includes only the VX520 wired terminals and not the GPRS VX675, which must be replaced).
- Ingenico POS (includes only ICT220 wired terminals and not the GPRS IWL220, which must be replaced).
The protocols below must be followed for the interconnection of each of the aforementioned POS types:
- Android and Verifone POS are connected:
- either via the Synchronous interface (TCP Socket-based) – ECR2EFT DLL
- or via the Asynchronous interface (json based), – ECR2EFT WEB
- Ingenico POS are connected via the Asynchronous EFTPOS-WebECR interface (json based)

Companies that have ERP management programs can access our specialized Portal for more information on Cardlink’s ERP-POS Testing Policy as well as the technical specifications for the interconnection.
They can also test implementation using the POS simulator (Virtual POS) provided by Cardlink.
Finally, according to IAPR decision #1074/2024, businesses that do not use an E-invoicing Service Provider, but instead use some form of fiscal device and/or cash register that have both been connected with ERP or other systems, may bypass the ERP/computer and connect their POS directly to their cash register or fiscal device, using the Protocol provided by IAPR decision A.1098/2022. In the latter case, Cardlink POS have already been prepared for interconnection, and no involvement of the ERP/Computer system is required.
Cardlink has a comprehensive POS simulator (Virtual POS) for Verifone and Android terminals, which can be used to test the interconnection of POS with Commercial/Accounting Management Programs (ERP) under decision A.1155/2023.
Companies that provide enterprise resource planning Programs (ERPs) and wish to carry out tests on the above terminal types can register with the Virtual POS by filling out the form here.
Passwords for accessing the Virtual POS environment will be sent to the email stated on the registration form.
Cardlink’s ERP-POS Testing Policy
Useful information:
- Only one access is granted per company, to better monitor implementation progress for each company.
- Companies with an ERP in place and more than one product for POS interconnection under decision A.1155/2023 must submit a new registration request with a different email address for each product.
- Tests are performed exclusively via Virtual POS and no physical terminals will be dispatched for this purpose.
Once your POS software has been upgraded, you will be required to begin any transactions with cards through your cash register system, which will in turn automatically forward the transaction details to the EFT/POS for the required approval. It will not be possible to enter the payment amount in the POS. The POS will complete the transaction and return the proceeds to the register.
Cardlink POS software will be ready within the statutory deadlines. We will inform our clients in a timely manner regarding any developments.
If you have an out-of-date POS and wish to upgrade to a Cardlink Android POS, you can find out about their upgraded capabilities and order one immediately by clicking here. Note that you may be entitled to a Greece 2.0 voucher.
