A malicious attempt to defraud through the impersonation of a large and well-known company or organisation. It is usually performed through e-mail. The main purpose is to encourage the recipient to transfer money to a bank account or to disclose sensitive information.

🪕 There is usually a sense of urgency
🪕 They ask for sensitive and personal information
🪕They ask you to make a money transfer to receive your order impersonating a well known company
🪕 They guide you to contact them at a specific email or phone number that is not mentioned or aligned to the ones mentioned at the website of the well-known company
